			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We recently designed and made a new light fixture for a great organization called Kids of Kathmandu to raise money to purchase, install and maintain solar panels, batteries, solar lanterns, and a water filtration system for an orphanage in Bhaktapur, Nepal. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Can a design be continually tweaked by the designer or changed by a buyer and not change the manufacturing process? Can a manufacturing process be designed that allows for one of kind custom products to be mass produced? For 5 days in May, 2011 we tried it out at the Future Perfect in New York. We designed and made 22 unique lamps built on an adjustable aluminum armature with dozens of different cord materials. Here are some images of our portable studio and finished prototypes.</p>

Using a reconfigurable armature to explore endless options of scale, form, color, texture, material, pattern and more, the creative process is merged with manufacturing. </p>
