Prototype Lamp

Can a design be continually tweaked by the designer or changed by a buyer and not change the manufacturing process? Can a manufacturing process be designed that allows for one of kind custom products to be mass produced? For 5 days in May, 2011 we tried it out at the Future Perfect in New York. We designed and made 22 unique lamps built on an adjustable aluminum armature with dozens of different cord materials. Here are some images of our portable studio and finished prototypes.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and chatted with us while we worked.
